I love fresh, summery scents with citrus notes. I find them so easy to wear because they’re generally light and crisp. My hubby loves them too. In fact, when I received the beautiful Frisson Verbena Collection press drop from L’Occitane, he took one whiff of the EDT and promptly said, “I’ll have that, thanks.”
In Provence, summer time means the beginning of the verbena harvest. But what exactly is verbena, you may ask. Verbena is a plant with spiky leaves and showy blossoms. It has a wonderful fresh lemon scent that’s believed to revive both body and mind.

Along with the fragrance I also received the Frisson Verbena Shower Gel (R230 for a 250ml). Now, I have to admit that I have a soft spot for the L’Occitane shower gels. They’re all so beautifully scented and the formula is gentle on the skin. I like how this one imparts the delicate scent of Frisson Verbena onto my skin. Yes, R230 is a tad pricey for a shower gel, but this one is worth the spoil. Buy it here
One of the more innovative products received in my press pack was the Frisson Verbena Ice Gel for Legs and Feet (R250). Formulated with a combination of cypress essential oil and althaea officinals (marshmallow), it helps refresh skin and tired legs. Ladies, I’m loving this product – especially after a long, hot shoot day where I’ve been on my feet for hours. There is also a divine Frisson Verbena Refreshing Mist (R160 for a 50ml). Perfect to pop into your bag, this alcohol-free mist intensely refreshes the skin while boosting hydration levels. It’s kinda like a moisturiser in a deo bottle. Spray it onto the body and enjoy the innovative, almost foam-like consistency of this product.
